Hi there, Our company donated to your forum before. Is that mean we can ask some questions and get some support? We have encountered some problems when using G4U to clone a flash disk to a normal IDE hard disk.
* What g4u version do you use
We have tried both old version(not sure exact version number) and newest one
(2.3).
* What exact command(s) did you use
To create image file of the flash disk, I used following command
uploaddisk 192.168.10.200 filename.gz wd0
To clone the image to another IDE harddisk, I used following command
slurpdisk 192.168.10.200 filename.gz wd0
* What exact output did you get (all of it, 1:1, no interpretation on
your own)?
The process went through without any problem, but the new IDE harddisk wouldn't
boot. It came with following error messages.
A Disk Read Error Occured. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart
* If the system hangs during boot: what are the last five lines
printed on the screen (again all three of them, verbatime)
Verifying DMI pool date ........
A Disk Read Error Occured.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart
* What does "disks" say? "parts"?
Nothing.
* If you have some problems with some network card or disk driver,
please include the relevant parts from "dmesg" output (scroll down with 'space')
System can actually recognise both disk drivers.
* What operating system, filesystem type and FTP server software do
you use on your FTP server?
We use Windows XP professional, NTFS, FTP server is War FTP daemon.
Thanks a lot!!
