Category: win32 Group: 2.0.0 beta 6 >Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Mats Karlsson (matsk) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: GAIM on Windows XP 64 Initial Comment: It's always problem to connect to MSN. After some disconnect and then reconnect can it sometimes get connections but its very flaky. Environment: Windows XP 64bit, English GAIM 2.0 Beta 6 /Mats ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mats Karlsson (matsk) Date: 2007-02-08 13:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=621806 Originator: YES I'm using the Windows XP 64 built in FW and have added GAIM as a "Exception" in the FW rules. I have 3 MSN and 1 Jabber accounts. After starting GAIM does the first MSN account connect and after a minute or two, two red "button" appears telling me that the account hasn't been connected. But if I click on the red "Error" in the bottom of the GUI and choose "Connect" it will reconnect. Hmmm, when writing this, did the second account connect by it self after ~2-3 minutes ?!? And this behavior is the same if I have the FW enabled or not! The behavior is not on my other "normal" Windows XP machine. As for GTK+, I downloaded "gaim-2.0.0beta6.exe" and that has GTK+ 2.10.7 rev. a, included in that package. And when looking trough the debug windows I see that the file "Application Data\.gaim\pounces.xml" is missing, is that what cause the problem? Please advice. /Mats ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2007-02-08 04:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 Originator: NO msn: servconn read error, len: 0 error: Resource temporarily unavailable That is the relevant part of the debug log. Do you have a firewall of some sort installed? (Even if it is "disabled") What version of GTK+ are you using? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1654612&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
