Summary: ICQ Usernames aren\'t displayed right with ANSI encoding

Initial Comment:
When I set GAIM to use the ANSI encoding, contacts with german umlauts in the
usernames are displayed wrong. The umlauts are displayed as garbage.

Using UTF-8 works fine, but then the umlauts in away messages aren't displayed

I'd really suggest to put this encoding-problems to a higher priority before
releasing. GAIM is IMO the best IM solution, but it isn't really usable for
non-english users with such bugs.

I'd be happy if you could tell me how to give more information so that this
could be fixed ;)

Sorry I just checked and the umlauts in usernames work but in away
messages they still don't
