Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: win32 Group: 2.0.0 beta 5 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: XIG (xig) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: window created off screen Initial Comment: This happens with some but not total regularity for me. I have not tested in beta6. I have a laptop and an external screen using an extended desktop and Windows XP. The external display is on the right and taller (in both size and pixels) These displays are aligned along the bottom edge. So if you draw a big rectangle around my entire display area, there's a smaller rectangle in the top-left corner where I don't actually have screen. Windows and the mouse understand this. But some of the time when I open a new Window, Gaim creates it aligned to the top of my really big rectangle - and off my actual screen. (I can recover only because a little bit of the bottom is visible, so I can make it very wide onto the other screen, then drag it down, then make it narrower again.) I searched but found no bugs with "window screen" in them; my apologies if I missed it. (An error many apps have is to create new windows in the non-existant screen if I've changed my desktop since the app has started up. I actually have no recollection whether Gaim does this, but I thought I'd mention it for good measure.) (My apologies for not testing on Beta6) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1662622&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
