Summary: Jabber and Gmail, Unusual Resource.

Initial Comment:
I have found that with two IM's, Gaim and Google Talk, the resource for gmail
accounts does not simply stop at what the user has specified. For example, if
my resource is Home, my resource will display as HomeHF24J035 (with a string of
8 random characters at the end). I have used psi and it does not have the same
problem with gmail users. could this be fixed so that when my resource is Home
it will be seen as Home and not Home with a string of random characters on the

Thanks :).

The GTalk servers append some random text to your resource to ensure you
have a unique resource.
This isn't something that gaim is doing.

It doesn't make sense that this wouldn't happen to psi - any ideas, Sean?
