Category: None Group: 2.0.0 beta 6 >Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Tom Barringer (thattallguy) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Email notification not resetting Initial Comment: Gaim 2.0.0 b6 on Windows XP Pro SP2. Notification of a new email received works correctly. However, once I retrieve the email, if I quit Gaim and restart it the notification reappears even though no new messages have arrived. This state continues on for some time (1 day?) until Gaim seems to "get used to the idea." It doesn't seem to matter whether I open the email from the Gaim window or independently. Also, I can close the notification and it will not reappear for as long as I have that session of Gaim running; it only reappears when I restart Gaim. It also doesn't seem to matter whether I kill Gaim's process externally or choose "quit" from the menus. I have only observed this on Yahoo as I don't have any email accounts elsewhere. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Sadrul Habib Chowdhury (sadrul) Date: 2007-02-19 04:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1132702 Originator: NO The email notification gaim displays at startup is what it receives from the yahoo server. If you start the official yahoo im client, you should receive the same notification. If that's not the case, please reopen this bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1660581&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
