Initial Comment:
I'm using Gaim 2 b6 on windows.  I type something like "<5" and nothing appears 
on screen. I think it's a bug in Gaim. USing "<" in chats is buggy. Please 
help.

yeah i din ask my buddy too if she saw my msg.  I got another problem but
4 some reason it was deleted when i posted here.  

How do u change the color tt appears for my msgs.  It seems it's always
greyed out.  I can't see grey too well now.  Pls help.

i have the same issue. it appears for MSN and ICQ here, so it seems not
protocol specific.
i haven't yet ask a buddy if the text is displayed on the other side and
just not showing in the IM window or if it is entirely ignored.

That plugin is not necessary, no. I thought it might've caused this
problem, but apparently it didn't.

So this bug appears only for MSN? or does it happen or other protocols too
(eg. Yahoo, AIM etc.)?

Do you have 'Conversation color' plugin loaded? If so, does it help
unchecking the 'Ignore incoming format' in that plugin's options?
