I'm running Gaim 2.0beta6 un Ubuntu 6.10 US-English with all the latest updates 
applied to Ubuntu.

Same problem here, Gaim 1.5.0-11.el3... works with AIM, Yahoo, just as
long as I don't try to login to a Jabber account, at which point it
crashes.

Similar problem with beta5 after a yum upgrade on my CentOS 4.4 system:

I did rebuild my beta5 SRPM against the updated packages, but it still
