As in 0.74, this seems to be accelerated by turning on "sort buddy list by log size" although 1.3.0 seems not to be able to actually accomplish this task regardless. I'm currently running 1.3.0 on solaris 8 and 9 compiled locally with gcc 3.3.2. I could never reproduce it, and I'm wondering now if it might have been a plugin problem (I know OTR or gaim-encryption, one, leaked huge amounts of memory at about that time).
