Neither the right-click menu nor CTRL-V work to paste text into the box. (Maybe this is an issue that should be filed for GTK instead? ) Workaround: 1. Copy the text from the gAIM message window. 2. Paste the text outside of gAIM (e.g., in wordpad) 3. Re-copy the text from wordpad 4. Paste into the filename box with CTRL-V. Request: It would be nice if gAIM had a function to automatically put the filename in the text input box. Filename is absent when saving incoming files. Not GAIM, and especially not gAIM. The bug (the name of the file being sent not being put in the textbox of the file-selection dialog) has been fixed for the next release. Since you are talking about wordpad, I am assuming you are using Windows. The copy-paste problem might be an issue with GTK+ in Windows. There is an issue in GTK+ (in linux, at least) where the copied text cannot be pasted if you have closed the window you copied from before pasting. I'm using the windows port version 2.0 beta 5. I can copy text from a gaim window and paste into other apps. I can copy text from other apps and paste into a gaim window.
