Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: polux (fpolux) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Gaim should encrypt saved passwords Initial Comment: Hello, A french magazine (l'ordinateur individuel) made a really nice article about gaim, but they underlined that Gaim don't encrypt the saved passwords in it configuration file. At home I tried this, under GNU/Linux, and I verified they are right, the password are in ~/.gaim/accounts.xml I know that encrypt password is a cosmetic feature, because in order to keep im secure, I shouldn't save passwords, but I think you should do it if you can, because it is better for your publicity. Thanks for all about gaim. fpoulain AT gmail DOT com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1688995&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
