ALL my gmail contacts are getting loaded into the "Buddies" category of the Buddy list. If I delete all but the ones I want, next time I start GAIM, they are all back again. I located the blist.xml file in my Application Data\.gaim directory and hand edited it to remove the unwanted buddies (with GAIM not running), but when I restarted GAIM they were reloaded (and added back into that blist.xml file). That file does not seem to be what determines the buddy list then, but rather a record of it? I searched my hard drive for any file with the string "blist" in its name and turned up nothing. How can I make changes to the buddy list now that will write back to the jabber server successfully and override this loading of all my contacts? ~Kelly ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: siegfre (siegfre) Date: 2007-04-02 19:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1722858 Originator: NO As per datallah: "I don't think there is anything that gaim can do about this, the gmail jabber server apparently does stuff to your roster automatically." I don't believe this can't be fixed. It did not appear until beta6. Beta5 worked O.K. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2007-03-26 22:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 Originator: NO I don't think there is anything that gaim can do about this, the gmail jabber server apparently does stuff to your roster automatically. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1686223&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
