Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: JaipalReddy (d_jaipal_reddy) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: simple option to login Initial Comment: Instant messaging client like GAIM must provide simple options to login, but on ordinary user simply can’t initiate his action to login into a particular protocol with the currently available design of GAIM. Every user should define his account by accessing - Add Account module and request to enter login credentials and also several parameters in few cases. The GAIM design must be simplified by providing the design, where user can login into particular protocol without any adding account ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Etan Reisner (deryni9) Date: 2007-03-06 23:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=516184 Originator: NO gaim is not designed for multiple people to use on the same system account, gaim is not designed to be a kiosk solution, it is designed to allow a person to usefully manage/access their IM accounts. Adding accounts is not difficult, nor surprising in multi-account clients, anything else would actually be more confusing and would lead to people not realizing gaim support multiple accounts (the history of gaim so far bears this theory out). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1660030&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
