Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: gtk-ui Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Seven (willbeone) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Gaim icon set: update! Initial Comment: Since graphic and icons are the "presentation" of an application, and Gaim comes with old-fashion icons, you should have to update your set. An update is also recommended to pixmap folder's structure, in order to use small and large icons without scaling bitmaped images. Attached a shot of a Tango-ed¹ icon set, made to fit (and go beyond) sys-tray need. In progress 're updates of custom gtk buttons, to conform with last git theme. Yes, speaking of process-typing, GAIM team should use the same technique that Nautilus use for spinning logo (the GNOME foot in Animation folder of an icon theme) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alahblessus (joneslee) Date: 2007-03-05 18:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1168816 Originator: NO GAIM definitely need refaced, however I think the team should take it further. By making GAIM Themeable, GAIM can take advantage of current used icon set, it makes GAIM looks more suitable on each Icon Theme Set. Please consult: http://live.gnome.org/ThemableAppIcons I strongly suggest that the team patch GAIM then use Seven.issimo icon set as default hicolor version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eduardo Perez Ureta (eperez) Date: 2006-12-25 10:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=60347 Originator: NO How may I use these icons? Where may I download them? I saw there's a tango gaim icon set here: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=40047 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Seven (willbeone) Date: 2006-12-21 09:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1175058 Originator: YES File Added: gaim-buttons.png ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1619632&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
