Since this doc http://www.jabber.org/jeps/jep-0054.html states that it "must be ISO 8601 formatted" - I think it would be a good idea if Gaim provided a more strict form here, and then converted it to ISO 8601 at back-end. I don't know what would be the best syntax so that it looks sensible in all locales, but something like: { Birthday: [Year] [Month] [Day] } * Then the "Year" field would only accept 4-digit [0-9] * "Month" could preferably be a dropdown menu with translated names. But maybe it would be good if there could be some alternative input method alongside, that allows faster and easier input than if you're using the calendar.
