Summary: Remembering sort rule in various tables

Initial Comment:
It would be nice if it was remembered what column was
last set to be sorted (and in what direction). That way
I wouldn't have to sort the list by name each time
there's a new list.
I'm thinking mostly about the Room List table, but if
there are any others I guess it could be a
consideration for those too.
Would this be good from a HIG point of view?
Also, would it be possible to have it sorted run-time
while the list is still being built, if you know what I
mean?
