Category: core Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ashar Voultoiz (hashar) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: minimize to notification area / systry Initial Comment: Hello, Under windows exist a systray where applications can be minimized instead of being in the taskbar. Gnome got a similar tool the "Panel Notification Area". Could it be possible to add an option that minimize gaim to that panel (or systray) and stop showing in the window list (make it an option like : minimize to systray AND do not show in taskbar). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-20 10:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: AsTrONoT (astronot) Date: 2005-01-21 17:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1153265 I agree with this request, along with the x minimizing, there should be an option to minimize to the sys tray with the regular minimize button. As a matter of fact, why not just make that the default minimize action when a user enables the systray plugin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jeffery To (coderjeff) Date: 2005-01-11 22:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1089354 If you enable the System Tray Icon plugin (Preferences -> Plugins), Gaim places an icon in the system tray in Windows. (I believe it does the same thing in Gnome.) Afterwards, you can click on the buddy list close ('x') button to hide the list and not have it in the taskbar. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=955609&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
