When you receive a new message, you are instantly cut off from whatever you were doing beforehand. I would really like to see an option for new conversation windows to appear in the background. I would hope that they would still flash, but it's pretty tiresome being cut off all the time. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-20 11:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. I see no reason why it should not be under program control (it's possible in Windows and I think it's possible in Mac OS too, so I assume the X11 protocol has the same ability), so I can only assume that if gaim developers cannot achieve it, then it is down to GTK+ not offering such a service. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-10-14 07:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 whether or not a new window takes focus is determined by your window manager. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Asraniel (m0rph1n) Date: 2004-10-14 06:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1136930 yes, ive sent several times my root password to someone because of that, i was just logging in the packetmanager as a root when gaim took control over my keyboard ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1046343&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
