Summary: Tabs on the bottom cause glitches

Initial Comment:
(using Win32 version)
In a tabbed IM window, the "x" for exiting the tab is often 5 xs with small AIM
guy icons next to them. Icons for other parts of the IM window are hanging
around near the name too.
Clicking the tab changes the order/position/number of the random pictures/icons.

so far, I have seen many combos.

This is not a Gaim bug, but a bug in GTK+, the widget toolkit
used by Gaim. Your bug is being moved to our "gtk bugs" tracker,
where it will be grouped with similar bugs. When we know a gtk
bug number for this issue, your group number will reflect it.

yes, datallah, moving the tabs to the top fixes the problem,
(but I'm a big fan of tabs on the bottom).

I' m pretty sure that this is a GTK+ bug.
If you put the tabs at the top instead of the bottom, does the issue not
happen?

addendum: uninstalled gaim 2.0.0 b6, uninstalled gtk 2.7.10a, reboot,
reinstalled gaim 2.0.0 b6 + gtk 2.7.10a - issue still occurs

XP SP2

same here, the mini-icons that show up on the tabs will change randomly as
I type, also the buddy icon of the user that I am chatting with will also
show up randomly even if I have buddy icons disabled.
