Summary: Windows disappear when I do anything

Initial Comment:
Whenever I try to do something that opens a new window
and involves a droplist, like joining a chat or adding
a buddy, as soon as I click on the droplist, the window
disappears. If I click on it on the address line, it
minimizes (even though it isn't visible), and if I
click it up again, it's visible. The droplist is of
course not open. If I hold the mouse button when
opening the list and release it on the choice, I can
choose the different things, so I am able to get around
it, but it's getting annoying.

Also (maybe) related to this problem, the Buddy List
doesn't show up on the taskbar, not even while it's
open. This might be intended, but it is still a problem
for me.

Third, sometimes the Buddy List can pop up in the
middle of a conversation, while I'm typing.

I do not know if these problems are related, but I'm
sending them in one report anyway. My e-mail address is

The Windows one, I think (sorry for the late response, our
net has been down for a few days).

For the second problem, that's a bug with version 0.4 of the
Extended Preferences plugin.

"Raise window on events" is listed in the "Buddy List"
options, under "Interface", second from the top in the list.
Do you have it enabled?

I have no idea what it means to have my buddy list docked,
but I have version 1.1.4. I have Extended Preferences 0.4
installed. I have Raise IM window on events and Raise chat
window on events off.

For the third item, do you have the "Raise window on events"
preference enabled in the "Buddy List" options?

Also coderjeff's questions...

1) Do you have your buddy list docked? What version of Gaim
are you using?

2) Do you have the Extended Preferences 0.4 plugin installed?
