Summary: Runtime Error when choosing yahoo buddy image

Initial Comment:
OS - WinXP Pro SP1
Install Age: 1 Month
CPU - Athlon 64 3000+
RAM - 1gb non-ecc
HD - 480GB (5x120gb RAIDXL [like raid-5])
Operator Qualifications: B.Sc. Honors Software Engineering

Error Message Description:
1st error with ok button: Pango-Error **:file shape.c:
line 75 (pango_shape): assertion failed:
(glyphs->num_glyphs > 0) aborting...
2nd error with ok button: Runtime Error, gaim is aborting

How to re-create the error:
Start Gaim. Go to Accounts. Highlight YahooIM
account. Choose Modify. Click open button that
applies to selecting a new buddy image (an older buddy
image had been selected but was moved or renamed while
gaim was not running - thus a small box with a red X is
being displayed for the current buddy image). Within
the Buddy Image Chooser window, double click home,
double click My Documents folder, double click images
folder, double click any image - instantly the error
message from above pops up and gaim crashes.

After creating this error about 5 consecutive times in
the same place, I went to the Bug Report page, and
discovered you required a backtrace using a special
debug version of 1.4.0. I uninstalled gaim, installed
this debug version, and did the same actions with the
same results (as expected), however, no gaim.rpt file
could be found in the gaim directory within program
files. Furthermore, a complete system-wide search
for gaim.rpt, and any file named *.rpt was performed,
with no results. Thus, it appears this crash
interrupted the stack dump before the file could be
written, so my sincerest apologies for not complying
with your requests, but as you can see, I had no choice.

This is not a Gaim bug, but a bug in GTK+, the widget toolkit
used by Gaim. Your bug is being moved to our "gtk bugs" tracker,
where it will be grouped with similar bugs. When we know a gtk
bug number for this issue, your group number will reflect it.
