Category: None Group: gtk bug #107320 >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Cassandra (kurokoneko) Assigned to: Sean Egan (seanegan) Summary: Contact List: Info popup interference Initial Comment: When you hover over a contact, ther little info pop-up shows their details. This happens while dragging a contact also, since technically, your cursor is over the individual's name. This dialog is rather large, and covers a significant amount of the contact list. This makes contact list manipulation (moving names between groups, etc.) a bit difficult. Rather irritating also. Expected: When moving a contact, the user info dialog doesn't appear. Loading the System Tray Icon plugin will put a Gaim icon in the system tray. (The buddy list not showing up in the task bar even though "Show buddy list entry in taskbar" is checked may be a bug in the extprefs plugin.) I believe Gaim asking for media on startup is another GTK bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Cassandra (kurokoneko) Date: 2005-01-28 13:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1206289 okay fine, jpeg attached. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Cassandra (kurokoneko) Date: 2005-01-28 13:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1206289 I do not see that option in that plug-in. Do you (bitmap attached; gaimextended.bmp)? Also, now my computer is asking for media in my 2nd CD drive every time I launch Gaim. (the I:/ drive) AND Gaim nolonger shows up on my task bar, or system tray. Alt-Tab doesn't show it either. I have to open the task manager and "end process" and restart Gaim if I want to view it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-01-28 00:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 You can disable the popup completely with the http://gaim-extprefs.sf.net plugin if you wish. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=680472&aid=1110893&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
