You also can do, at make phase

Put a #!@@@PYTHON_PATH@@@ in xmms2-gajim-status.py as shebang
A which python and do a sed -i -e 's/@@@PYTHON_PATH@@@/<result of
$(which python) -tt/' xmms2-gajim-status.py
