Thanks for the reply but no, I wasn't using any filters.

The relevant XML sections are like this:

    <code file="listFiles.py"/>
    ...
    <param name = "url_paste"
        label = "Select a file to copy"
        type="select"
        multiple="false"
        dynamic_options = "listFiles()"/>
