I could be wrong here but I don't think this works for LXDE.
There is no mimeinfo.cache file in ~/.local/share/applications/
(in fact according to mlocate there is no such file anywhere)
there is a mimeapps.list file that looks like this:

So anytime the IDE tries a FindInMimeInfoCache() it crashes with a "File
not found error"
