Hello BenoƮt, I found another strange behaviour:
==== snip Dim i As Long Dim s As Strings = "1234567890abcdefghij1234567890abcdefghij1234567890abcdefghij1234567890abcdefghij1234567890abcdefghi"
' s has 99 Bytes plus the "\n", so we have 100Bytes for each line
For i = 1 To 1000
TextArea1.Text &= s & "\n"
Next
==== snip
This builts a TextArea1.Text that has a length of 100kB.
In my RAM it allocates app. 130MB!
My fault or did I find a bug?
ExampleProject and sysinfo in the attachment!
Greetings from Bavaria
Wolfgang
