Hello Lukas.

I would have replied to you off list but I figured regarding the Shades
of Doom question I'd answer it publicly here since you are not the
only one to suggest that I record area 9.

First off, my main web page is www.asmodean.net and my email address is,
well, just the username raul at this domain. I have too many email
addresses to keep track of sometimes. In short, two good ones to always
reach me are:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

The game walkthroughs are on the site I mentioned above and are still
available for download. I'm currently in the process of recording Lone
Wolf mission walkthroughs but that is a long and drawn out project.

Regarding the key problems in registering Shades of Doom 1.2 my
suggestion is to contact David Greenwood at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let
him know your problem. He's definitely the best one to help with that.

Now onto area 9 of Shades of Doom. First and foremost, it's not a trust
issue. So please know that it has nothing to do with trust why I don't
record area 9 for a select few. If I do that I run into the issue of who
do I sent the area 9 to and who do I not? I cannot simply pick and
choose who to send this to based on whether they will ever play the game
or not, on whether they will be good enough to reach area 9, or whether
they promise never to share the file. Then I run into hard feelings by
those I do not choose to give this file to. Lastly, I feel that certain
part of the game's appeal would be lost. As it is, when recording areas
6, 7, and 8 I did not talk very much and just zipped through them. My
feeling was that by area 5 one should know what one is doing and how to
get past certain challenges. With area 9 being the battle with the boss
I wanted to leave that as something to look forward to. There are many
users who would keep trying and keep trying to get there after hearing
the first areas just to hear for themselves what area 9 is really like.
If I recorded it and gave it to everyone then some of the mystery would
be lost.

I hope you can understand my reasonings. In short, I will not record
area 9 and give it to anyone.

All the best.
