I remember many years ago when playing Monolopy with my family. If the game included my grandmother we had to play by this stupid rule. If someone started collecting a certain color group then no one else was allowed to purchase property from that group. Made the game not last long and there was no compitition. But that is how dear old grandma (may she rest in piece) liked it.
