Hi Richard, They have several on aspects of game programming, but I wouldn't call it a huge amount. I can basically give you a main list of the titles I have read.
Programming Roll Playing Games Tricks of the Game Programming Gurus Beginning Math and Physics Game Scripting Mastery Kickstart Managed DirectX 9 One thing I can say from experience is you are not going to learn everything out of a book. If someone thinks they are going to read a book or two and go from know-nothing to game programming master they will be sadly mistaken. Nothing counts more than experience, practice, practice, practice, and improvements. However, as a C++ developer if youwant to get up and running with say DirectX the Programming Roll Playing Games will give you a introduction in to some concepts how to not only write simple RPG games, but some basic graphics, sound, and input programming. Which is all you need to begin. The Beginning Math and Physics book is good for getting the math you need for game programming.
