One small correction to Thomas' comments here: The angle you have to lean depends on the angle of the curve, not necessarily 45 degrees. Some curves require a very small and quick lean, which presents it's own challenges versus the longer curves in which you have to have a steady and smooth hand to maintain your lean over the longer haul.
