Hi, Allan. Linux has always had a graphical Windows-like interface as well as a command line interface. The problem was until the past couple of years ago the Windows interface was not accessible to screen readers. Now, there are two screen readers gnopernicus and Orca which work in the GUI. Currently Orca is the closest to working like Jaws. I've used Linux successfully for the past year in the Windows interface to browse the web, write documents, do email, etc. Access isn't perfect, maybe like what MS Windows and screen readers was like a few years ago, but it is usable, and is improving with each upgrade and update of Linux. As for the shell with the right screen readers almost everything there is fully accessible if you are of a mind to type every command in the book. Ah, well, we are straying from the PS3 and Linux.Which is the topic we are suppose to be discussing here.
