Hi, listers.
Ok, this is the final warning from me. I haven't talked to Raul on this
yet, but I shall soon. First point is Raul and I have both stressed that
if a company or individual asks for testers please send the, "can I
test," messages directly to that person and not publically to the list.
Second, is like the first. If someone says hey you want to try my game,
do you want a copy of this or that file, tell that person privately off
list please. Not to the list. Sending such messages to this list
generates allot of list traffic directed at that one person with little
addition to the discussion.
It is different when you ask a question what is this game about as the
person can reply what it is about all on list and it is worthwhile chat.
The, "me to," type messages ends up being a dialog between two people
with little interest from the other list members.
I'm posting this message as a warning only. After this the people who
send the "me to," and the, "can I try as well," type messages May end up
on moderated status until they can cut down these types of messages.
Just so you know any messages recieved of this type beginning on Sunday
will wind you on temperary moderated status.
I don't like having to be like this, but I have started seeing
complaints that these messages are filling up peoples inboxes without
generating any quality discussion about games and only answers back and
forth about testing games.
Thanks.
