Yah, these are good things to know.
Remember also that you can pick your mouse up slightly and move it without
moving the cursor.
An optical mouse has to be within a quarter inch of a surface to function,
and a ball mouse obviously won't work as soon as the ball loses contact with
the surface.
On the 90 degree turns, where your max lean is 45 degrees, I don't move
the mouse more than an inch and a half.
If you are having to move more than this, I may have to build in the
ability to scale your mouse movements down.
This is all good to know, because as you suggested, I used the mouse
extensively when I could see, and it became second nature to me. I will
definately have to create a section in the instructions dealing with proper
mouse usage. For instance, your wrist should stay planted on your desk,
while you move the mouse by rotating your hand back and forth.
Also, when you need to pick the mouse up and move it over to afford more
space, you should simply apply upward pressure with your thumb, tilting the
mouse a bit and sliding it over, again keeping the wrist planted.
I will include more tips like this on the rail racer instructions and tips
page.
  Later,
  Che
