Thanks for your answer, where can I get the free books from? In what format
are these o'riley books sold? I'll look at them as well, but I must just be
careful, because what happened to me is that I spent some money on this
thick book on C++, and then I saw that it hardly had any information for an
absolute beginner like me! This has also been the case when I want to learn
linux, I found a book called the Beginner's guide to linux, and when I read
it I found that it expected me to know the meaning of all these concepts
which I'd never even heard of! What is also frustrating is when a book
doesn't even give you clear examples of things.
I think I will try C++, since I've already got the compiler. Any free books
for that that I can look at?
