---- Hi ari I know of a chess computer that's very accessible. I have played a bit with it. It also makes the sounds of the bishops, castles, pawns and horses. I don't know if you can get this chess computer in joeburg but the workshop for the blind in Worcester have this chess computers. For me in SA, the one thing I was worried about was that I'd spend this money on the set and find it couldn't help, or that I couldn't really use it. It's great to hear that I have the choice of sending it back. Now all I need is something to help me learn chess. Jim suggests Recordings for the Blind, but that won't really help me since it is quite expensive (once I wanted to join, I heard that it was $76 a year or something). The other problem I have with Recordings for the Blind is that, even though I know they have a wide variety of books in many subjects, I've never really been able to find a list where I could sort of browse categories of books they have.
