in most, if not all muds, you have to type in commands just like in a standard IF text adventure. I don't know of any mud with menu-driven text, but if you want to click on links to perform specific actions, you might want to try out kingdom of loathing http://www.kingdomofloathing.com - it's multi-player but it's browser-based.
