Alrighty then, let me answer your questions one at a time here.
1: Grapple types: Technical, Submission, Quick, Powerful, Martial Arts,
clean/dirty (depends on your character), and, um, ok, I'll admit it. I can't
remember the other one offhand.
2: Oh my friend, it is definitely that advanced. The moves you execute
depend on the grapple you initiate. To execute a standing leglock, for
instance, you'd have to initiate a submission grapple. For something like a
powerbomb, you initiate a power grapple. All this is done using the circle
buttons and the directional buttons. First, circle plus one direction to
choose the grapple, then circle plus a direction to choose the move once
you're grappled with your opponent.
3: This system applies to both created superstars and the WWE's roster of
talent. Everyone has the moves you'd expect them to have, and everyone has
two finishers.
4: To pin your opponent, you simply press the down directional button plus
the circle button once they're on the ground. Pressing any other direction
and the circle button will cause you to perform a submission or some other
ground move depending on where you are in relation to your opponent's body.
5: There are very few differences between the PS2 and PSP versions of the
game. The biggest is that the PSP game has no commentary during matches.
Next up, The PSP version doesn't allow you to customize the look of your
locker room, as if we care. Third, the PSP version contains 3 mini games
which we cannot play. So once again, we don't really care. Besides that,
they're the same game. The PSP version includes all the fully-voiced
cutscenes during season mode. I should point out that if you do get help
creating a superstar, you also get to choose one of five voices for that
wrestler.
