Nope, sorry. You can't get the first gem with you main ccharacter unless you restart them. Once you click Play, you'd have to click the Restart button. Your stats would be set back to their starting numbers (you don't have to reroll them), and you'll have to reset your skills, and but you could get that gem. Granted the second one may or may not even be in the game, but as I told you once the sword is there for the taking, as is another special item that currently has no use in the game.
