Hi Lisa,
I do have a son, and I agree. He isn't old enough to begin playing 
games, but in a couple of years I'll start him out on classic arcade 
games like space invaders, Packman, etc which I feel is appropriate for 
children. Sure there is some violence in those games, but it is very low 
key.
Toy Robbery and Bobbie's Revenge I'd say is appropriate for ages 7 or 8 
on up, and by then the parent should have taught them that steeling 
presents isn't ok in the real world, but doing so in games is ok.
