Hello gamers, There have been some emails to the lists, USA Games sales department, and to me privately about the future of STFC. So in this email I hope to address as many questions as possible and feel free to pass this along to those who you know play STFC and who are not connected with the USA Games or Audyssey lists. As most of you know earlier in this month I was working on a major update to STFC when a majority of the current source code was lost. That is several months of work gone. There are some very old backups of the source as well as some more current builds of the game which were not lost. From either the old sources or the current builds I should be able to find a reasonably stable copy of STFC to package and release to you all as version 1.0. First, what I am going to do is see what I have to produce a more-or-less stable release of STFC 1.0. I'll test everything and once I find out what is most stable I'll package that up as STFC 1.0, and remove the demo restrictions. I'll be releasing STFC 1.0 as free ware. Second, once I finish testing I'll write a users guide for the game which is complete and covers the majority of the game. Third, once the first two things are done I will write a setup/installer for the game using innosetup, and package it, and put it up for download. Many of you are interested in when all of this will take place. I've been working on this off and on, and don't have any specific date and time for the release. I am hoping to put it up in the next couple of weeks, but I am going to say that is just a guess at this point. More information will be released when it is ready for download.
