a podcast can be, and often times technically is, an mp3 file. But a podcast is something that you download on a relatively regular basis. An example of this would be if Raul put up one of his audio walkthroughs once a week and then created a podcast feed for it so that you could download it with podcatching software such as Juice, etc, or you could go to the website to download it as well, but podcasts are usually something that one makes available on a regular basis, whether it be daily, weekly, biweekly, etc. So although the mp3 file of his audio walkthroughs technically could be considered a podcast, in and of themselves, they are not.
