Glad I was able to bring clarification to the subject. What I mean by 3D 
games and what the general accessible gamers think of 3D seams to be two 
different things. They generally assume if audio is virtual 3D the game 
is 3D. What I am usually talking about with 3D is a full environment.
As for Monkey Business I really think it is 2D  with some areas being 
simulated to seam like you are climbing. For example, the vines. It is 
just another 2D plane with the axis being up down left right, rather 
than up down, left right, forward and back. So since Monkey Business 
vines are suppose to be climbing up technically you are just moving 
forward or backward, but according to the game it says you are climbing. 
Just some game developer ruse to make you think the direction has 
changed when it is the same.
