Hello. The pins are randomly placed on the lanes. So, let's say you
start a game and you check the location of your pins, they might be at
lanes 1,3,5,7,8. you however have no idea where the apponent's pins are.
So, let's start with a simple strategy. You start bowling at lane 1 to
see what you get, then lane 2, and so on until you reach lane 10.
Remember that the apponent can use pin up or anti-balls on you. In the
case of a pin up, let's say you bowl in lane 3 and there is one oof his
pins there, he might use a pin up on that so you never know there was a
pin there. Since you only have three of these tricks to use, eventually
all tricks will be used and you can go over those lanes again and get
his pins.
Anti-balls are another matter. Let's say you bowl in lane 4 and you hear
that he used an anti-ball there. On the surface that tells you there was
a pin there and he killed your ball. However, a strategy to trick the
player might be to use an anti-ball on an empty lane so that the player
thinks there is a pin there and waistes balls on that lane.
Regardless of where your own pins are, the apponent's pins might be on
the same lanes. When you bowl on a particular lane even if it has your
own pin on it, you need not worry about hitting your own pin. This
question came up during testing.
As to why you can never hit pins on lanes 9 and 10 it could be just
random pin placement on the games you have played. Keep trying though.
It really is a fun game.
