I've also played the board game before under the name of solitare. According 
to this Wikipedia entry on the subject, 
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peg_solitaire) the board game is known as 
solitare mainly here in England, and the solitare card games were 
traditionally called patience. my grandmar always referred to "seven card 
stack patience" meaning the standard solitare game.

I'm glad that Light tech have made the Blank block game easier than the peg 
Solitare game I knew, because as has already been said, that game is 
murderously hard (hence my looking it up on Wikipedia).
