Hi Don, On the USA Games FAQ page http://www.usagames.us/faq.html towards the bottom of the page I answer some basic questions about getting started with C# and game programming. In short what it says is where to get the Microsoft DirectX SDK downloads, where to get Visual C# Express, and how to get materials from safari to begin learning. If you do those things you will be ready to go. Also I am working on an open source version of Asteroids in C# which should probably help you have a game as a guide to learn to write games as well.
