How about, if anyone wants to, debating it off list?  Someone can start the 
debate by responding to an Email using, I think the keystroke  is, control 
shift r.  That sends a message to all members, but it sends it to them off 
list.  Then, anyone who wants to join in can do so.  Just a thought.
