Re: "the game isn't copyrighted in any way" Unless the author has been dead for 75 years then he (or his heirs) still own the copyright. Copyright is automatic. It's not something you need to apply for. If you create something original then you automatically own the copyright and you do not need to explicitly state this.

Many people want the game and I have a server, so I uploaded the game so other people could download and play it, it's a really good game and, Damien, I repeat it again, the game is abandoned which means development won't continue and the game isn't copyrighted in any way.
