It is possible to have skype use it's own device, and have everythign else
use the default device.
This is why why I personally avoid skype. Go in to the options, and choose
sound devices, and just set up the device you want. Then under control
panel, make sure windows doesn't use that device.

Subject: [Audyssey] Sound device changing

Hi,
I have started using the Internet Phone Wizard for skype. Every time I make
a call, it changes my sound device. This is not a major problem unless I
want to play a game, as those sounds don't play. However, my screen reader,
windows sounds, etc. all play fine. Is there a way to get the games to
recognize a different sound card? Right now, they play through my cordless
phone, since that is what the device points to.
