Hi Lori, What version of Windows are you running? Seems to me you are running Windows 7 right?
If so installing the SAPI from Jim Kitchen's site just toasted your SAPI install. Under no circumstances are you to install SAPI 5.1 over top of SAPI 5.4 as that will damage your SAPI install which I think is what happened here. Try and do a roll back if you can and remove the SAPI downgrade.
