Hello Mark. Without sounding rude, the best way you can find out about a
mud is by reading the list archives. I just recently wrote a basic
description of what one is. In short, it can be like playing a live text
adventure game. Of course, not all muds are like that, but most are.
You connect to mud with a telnet client or a mud client. Using a mud
client is much better because they are specifically designed to work
with mud games. Text scrolls on the screen and you read it and do
actions. Like I said, the main difference between a text adventure game
and a mud is the fact that mud happens in real time where as most text
adventure games are on a turn by turn basis.
